Background: The Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre, Inc. is seeking an individual for the position of Human Resource Assistant. The Human Resource Assistant will be responsible for providing transactional HR support to the HR Manager. He or she will assist with the development and implementation of policy, onboarding new employees, recruitment, orientation and training, health and safety and other areas as directed. Other duties involve maintaining accurate, up-to-date HR filing systems and personnel records, providing monthly reports, maintaining other records such as Police/Child Abuse and Prior Contacts with various external agencies and creating new files as necessary. Other duties will be assigned as necessary.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or a related field.
- Experience as a Human Resource Assistant preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal skills and comprehension.
- Knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health Committee functions
- Excellent time management skills.
- Highly organized, service-oriented.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent memory skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to build and maintain working relationships.
- Must have access to vehicle would be an asset/valid MB driver’s license
- Provide current (within the last three months) Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Query, Child Abuse Registry Check and be subject to a Prior Contact Check.
